Gravity Game Unite (GGU), the Malaysian offshoot of Korean publisher Gravity, has just locked in the schedule for the second open beta test of the PC MMORPG Ragnarok Zero: Global Version.
This time around, the test kicks off on July 7 at 9:00 AM and runs until July 15 at 7:59 AM (Malaysia time). If you’re in Southeast Asia, Europe, or Oceania, all you need to do is sign up on the official site, grab the PC client, and you’re in.
The second OBT is packing a bunch of fresh stuff that’s honestly pretty exciting. For starters, there’s a cross-game companion experience called Get Poring, which lets you collect and train those adorable blob-like Poring characters from a linked game, then send them over to Ragnarok Zero as your in-game buddies.
Next up, we’re getting the Ragnarok IP’s very first UGC (user-generated content) system called RO Factory. This is a seriously cool customisation tool that lets players design their own cosmetic items right inside the game. Once you’ve crafted something in the Factory, you can upload it to the global RO Factory marketplace and share it with the entire Ragnarok Zero community, or download other people’s creations for your own character.
And then there’s the brand-new MVP Raid content. This is a squad-based dungeon challenge where you and your team take on MVP monsters. Beat them, and you’ll walk away with a bunch of rewards and loot – plus, completing related quests throws in extra goodies on top of that.
The first OBT back in May drew a massive crowd and gave the devs a ton of valuable feedback. The buzz from European players, in particular, was super encouraging and really cranked up the global anticipation. GGU has been poring over all that data and player input, and now they’re rolling it into this second test with these new features.
For those who haven’t been following along, Ragnarok Zero: Global Version is a PC MMORPG that stays true to the original Ragnarok Online world, classic 2D pixel art, and iconic BGM, while expanding the storyline and content beyond the familiar Midgard setting. It polishes up the character progression flow, UI/UX, and overall environment, adds handy auto-battle functions, smooth area movement, and camera enhancements – all designed to help you level up and explore without the usual grind pain.
GGU CEO Choi Seong-wook said, “During this second OBT in July, we’re unveiling the linked game, Ragnarok IP’s first UGC, and the new MVP Raid content to gauge global player reactions. We’ll keep using the feedback from both tests to raise the bar on content quality and service stability.” He also added, “After the second OBT wraps up, we’ll be getting ready for the official launch while gradually revealing more content and events, so stay tuned.”
On top of that, GGU is currently running Ragnarok Zero: Global Version pre-registration and pre-launch events leading up to the full release.
