I just went through the update on GameRant, and Ufotable is really about to make us wait half a decade to see how this story ends.

If you saw Infinity Castle Part 1: Akaza’s Return when it hit theaters recently and thought the next two parts were right around the corner, you might want to sit down. The animation quality is undeniably top-tier, but the production timeline they just confirmed is absolutely brutal.
Here is the official roadmap for the rest of the trilogy.
The Release Schedule (Prepare to Wait)
Part 1 (Akaza’s Return): Already out. It dropped in North America back in September 2025 and is currently destroying Japanese box office records (closing in on Spirited Away and the Mugen Train movie).
Part 2: Officially slated for 2027. That is a two-year gap just to get the middle chapter of the fight.
Part 3 (The Finale): Set for 2029.
Yes, you read that correctly. We are waiting until 2029 to see the final battle animated.
The Impatient Fan’s Way Out
The only silver lining here is that the Demon Slayer manga has been completely finished since 2020. The entire story is relatively short, wrapping up at exactly 205 chapters. If you cannot physically wait four more years to find out what happens to the Hashira against the Upper Moons, the entire ending is just sitting right there on the Manga Plus app or Viz Media.
The final movies are going to look visually spectacular, but a four-year wait for a single story arc is exhausting. We are all going to have to mute a lot of words on Twitter to avoid spoilers.
Are you planning to just hold out and wait for the movies, or do you want me to look up the exact manga chapter where Part 1 ends so you can just read the rest of it tonight?
