Second-Gen Doubao Phone Is Coming

On July 15, the Cyberspace Administration of China released a list of seven mobile-side generative AI services that have completed filing. These include Apple Intelligence, Huawei Xiaoyi, vivo BlueHeart, Xiaomi HyperMind, and Nubia’s Doubao Phone big model.

On July 8, Ni Fei, President of ZTE’s Terminal Division, posted on social media that Nubia plans to launch the “world’s first AI agent phone,” which will debut at the World Artificial Intelligence Conference starting July 17.

According to NUPIAO, sources close to the matter say that Ni Fei’s AI agent phone is actually the second-generation “Doubao Phone.” Compared to the M153 tech preview version launched in December 2025, the new model will feature upgraded screens and camera modules. The same sources also noted that due to rising memory chip prices and other factors, the second-gen Doubao Phone is expected to cost over 4,000 yuan, higher than the first generation’s 3,499 yuan price tag.

Meituan, Qingju, Hello Bike Raise Prices in Multiple Cities, Starting Fees Near 2 Yuan

News on July 15: Recently, Meituan Bike, Didi Qingju, and Hello Bike have updated their pricing plans in several Chinese cities, including Beijing, Nanjing, Zhengzhou, and Chengdu.

The three major platforms have adopted a similar pricing strategy: “raising starting fees while extending the base riding time.” The previously common standard of 1.5 yuan for a 30-minute ride has been adjusted to between 1.88 and 1.99 yuan for a 60-minute ride.

Changxin Tech IPO Subscription on July 16: Super Luxury Strategic Investor List Unveiled

On July 16, Changxin Tech officially starts its online and offline IPO subscriptions. The strategic placement list disclosed by Changxin Tech is nothing short of a “super luxury lineup.” Based on publicly available shareholder and placement participant info, this round of strategic placement brings together key market players, including state capital, industry leaders, and top financial institutions.

Long-term focused national funds and large insurance companies are the core participants in this round. Among them, over 30 portfolios under the National Social Security Fund Council secured allocations. On July 15, seven mobile-side generative AI services completed filing, including models from Huawei and OPPO. In response, OPPO stated that this filing is a routine compliance move to proactively adapt to national AI large model regulatory requirements and legally advance related business operations.

WeChat Announces Crackdown on Deceptive Ads in Parking Payment Links

On July 15, WeChat Safety Center announced via a notice that, based on user complaints, some parking lot QR code payment pages contain misleading ad pop-ups. Common violations include fake discounts to trick clicks, hidden or missing close buttons. These actions violate China’s Advertising Law, which bans deceptive or misleading ads and requires pop-ups to have a clearly visible close button. Once verified, such links will be handled according to national laws and WeChat’s platform policies, including restricting access to the offending links.

ASML Expects China to Account for About 20% of Net Sales in 2026

On July 15, ASML released its latest performance guidance and mid-to-long-term plans. CFO Roger Dassen stated that ASML expects China’s net sales share to be around 20% in 2026. With the full-year total sales forecast revised upward, the absolute sales scale in China will grow correspondingly, with incremental demand driven mainly by domestically dominated logic chip sectors. Additionally, ASML plans to boost its EUV production capacity by 30% in 2027 compared to 2026 levels.

Bank of America: SK Hynix’s New Capacity by 2028 May Be Just One-Sixth of Plans

On July 14, local time, Bank of America released a report stating that due to technology upgrades leading to the closure of older fabs, South Korea’s average annual wafer capacity growth will actually be below 10%, far short of the official target of doubling by 2030. SK Hynix’s new memory capacity by 2028 may only be one-sixth of originally planned. Additionally, construction and equipment setup cycles for new large-scale fabs by Samsung and SK Hynix in Gwangju and Jeolla could stretch to a decade.

Institution: Global Mobile Game Spending Fell 7% Month-on-Month in June

Sensor Tower data shows that in June, global players spent $6.1 billion on mobile games across the App Store and Google Play, down 7% month-over-month. The U.S. market led with 30% of total revenue, followed by China (iOS only) at 15.7%, and Japan at 12.1%. “Whiteout Survival” topped the global mobile game revenue chart, followed by “Royal Match,” “Honor of Kings,” “Gossip Harbor,” and “MONOPOLY GO!”
