Samsung Quietly Slashes Prices on S90C and S95C OLED TVs in Limited-Time Offer

Flagship OLED televisions rarely see deep discounts, but Samsung has quietly adjusted pricing on several high-end models in the US. The move, described as a limited-time offer, targets the company’s top-tier S90C and S95C series — sets that typically compete in the premium segment against LG’s G-series and Sony’s Master Series.

The most aggressive cut lands on the 83-inch S90C, which now sits at $3,297.99 on Amazon, a $1,500 drop from its usual street price. That’s a record low for a panel of this size with Quantum HDR and Dolby Atmos support, according to multiple deal tracking sites. The S95C, Samsung’s brightest OLED with a second-gen QD-OLED panel, has also seen reductions in the 65- and 77-inch configurations, though the discounts are less dramatic.

Why the sudden price cuts?

Industry watchers point to a couple of factors. Samsung’s 2026 lineup is already rolling out in select markets, so clearing out 2025 inventory before the next generation arrives is standard practice. At the same time, OLED panel supply has improved, and Samsung Display’s yield on 77-inch and 83-inch QD-OLED panels has climbed over the past year — meaning lower cost per unit. Combine that with softening TV demand globally, and you get the kind of pricing that grabs attention without being called a “fire sale.”

Competitors aren’t sitting still either. LG has been aggressive with its C4 and G4 series promotions, and Sony recently bundled soundbars with certain OLED models. Samsung’s strategy here seems to be: undercut, but don’t flood the channel. The deals are notable but not universally available — Amazon appears to be the primary partner for the 83-inch S90C blowout, while Samsung’s own site offers similar but slightly higher prices on other sizes.

Implications for the premium TV market

For buyers, this is one of those moments where waiting actually paid off. Anyone eyeing a flagship OLED for a home theater setup now faces a genuine dilemma: grab the discounted S90C or hold out for the rumored brightness improvements in the 2026 models. Professional installers and AV enthusiasts I’ve spoken to note that the S90C remains a stellar performer, especially in dark rooms, and the 83-inch unit competes head-on with LG’s G3 in real-world contrast.

From a broader industry perspective, these price cuts reinforce a pattern we’ve seen for two years: OLED is no longer a luxury-only category. With manufacturing efficiencies and panel competition, the gap between premium OLED and mid-range LED is narrowing. Analysts from firms like NUPIAO have pointed out that Samsung’s aggressive positioning could pressure rivals to accelerate their own price adjustments, potentially making 2026 the first year where OLED accounts for over 30% of TV revenue in North America.

Whether or not the discounts last beyond the current promotional window remains to be seen. For now, if you’re in the market for a large-format OLED, the numbers speak for themselves.
