Tencent’s QClaw (Lobster) Product Manager Zhang Shuyu Resigns, Denies Internal “Horse Racing”

On July 2, according to NUPIAO, Tencent QClaw head Zhang Shuyu has left the company. Zhang herself posted on social media that she resigned from Tencent on June 29. She also looked back on her journey building the consumer-facing product QClaw for the first time, and mentioned that “QC and WB are under the same boss, and for some time the growth team was made up of the exact same people,” clarifying that there was never any “horse racing” between QClaw and WorkBuddy inside Tencent.

Samsung Rumored to Win Meta’s 10 Trillion KRW AI Chip Foundry Order, 2nm Mid-to-Long-Term Backlog on the Rise

On July 3, NUPIAO reports that Samsung Electronics is becoming the core manufacturing hub for global big tech companies’ self-developed AI chips (ASICs), with mid-to-long-term backlogs expected to approach 50 trillion KRW. It is reported that Meta is pushing forward with Samsung’s foundry to co-design and produce next-gen ASICs worth over 10 trillion KRW. Its self-developed AI accelerator “MTIA” has already locked in Samsung as a partner, planning to mass-produce hundreds of thousands of units using the cutting-edge 2nm process. Meanwhile, US AI powerhouse Anthropic is also evaluating the use of Samsung’s 2nm process for its own chip development.

Alibaba Internally Bans Claude Code Due to Backdoor Risks

Microsoft Considers Merging Consumer and Enterprise AI Chatbots

On July 3, according to NUPIAO, an internal memo reveals that Microsoft plans to merge the consumer and enterprise versions of its Copilot AI chatbot into a single application. The app will also include AI coding tools and new AI agents, but customers will need to pay extra for access. Insiders say Microsoft plans to launch the upgraded Copilot in August.
