Google Rolls Out Gemini 3.7 Flash Model
Google dropped a new version of Gemini Flash on August 13. The company says the newly released Gemini 3.7 Flash outperforms its predecessor on programming tasks like code debugging, and is now better equipped to generate code that’s nearly production-ready in a single shot. Google also noted these models require fewer prompts to complete app development, which improves the developer experience and lowers the token costs of running models. Starting Thursday, Google’s AI productivity agent, Gemini Spark, will be powered by 3.7 Flash.
Zhipu Launches GLM-5.3 Model
On August 14, Zhipu unveiled its GLM-5.3 model, rolling it out immediately to its official coding tool ZCode and efficiency app AutoClaw, while also making it available to all GLM Coding Plan users and open subscriptions. The API is coming soon, and the full model weights will be open-sourced within two weeks. At 1:00 PM today, all GLM Coding Plan users get their quotas reset. According to CCTV Finance, in the first seven months of this year, total sales across all AI product categories in Huaqiangbei jumped more than 55% year-over-year, with AI glasses leading the charge at a 100% surge in sales. According to Tianyancha business registration data, Shanghai Future Not Far Robotics Technology Co., Ltd. recently underwent business registration changes, adding Beijing Quantum Leap Technology Co., Ltd. (under Douyin) and Nice Group Zhejiang Investment Co., Ltd. as new shareholders. Meanwhile, its registered capital increased from approximately 6.28 million RMB to about 7.69 million RMB. Founded in September 2022 and led by legal representative Chen Yiquan, the company’s business scope covers smart robot R&D, AI foundational software development, and industrial robot manufacturing.
