Meta’s Bringing AI Chatbot Subscriptions Starting at $7.99/Month

On May 28, word came out that Meta’s for the first time selling AI chatbot subscriptions directly to consumers—a move that could help offset some of its massive AI spending. The new subscription comes in two tiers. A company spokesperson said the basic tier, called Meta One Plus, goes for $7.99 a month and targets folks who frequently use Meta AI to generate images and videos or rely on it for complex reasoning. The spokesperson added that the higher tier, Meta One Premium, costs $19.99 a month, offering the same features as Meta One Plus but with higher usage limits.
