On the evening of July 27, Moonlight officially released the model weights and technical report for Kimi K3, along with open-sourcing the key infrastructure tech that powered its training: MoonEP, FlashKDA, and AgentEnv. Word on the street is that Kimi K3 is a massive Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) model with a whopping 2.8 trillion parameters. It comes with native visual understanding capabilities and supports a huge 100-million-token context window. Moonlight says anyone can now download and deploy Kimi K3 for free—whether it’s for internal R&D or embedding into your own consumer-facing products.
